1st Meeting for 2021

Our 1st youth meeting which fell on the 2nd day of the Lunar Chinese New year ! Naturally, as part of the scouting activity, the them was Chinese New year. To experience the culture, youths took turns saying good words to the Venerable who wished the youths well and gave each of them a red packet for good luck!

We also took the opportunity to present a donation to the temple for allowing us to use their facility as our Scout Hall. Though the value is small, we wanted our Scouts to learn the values of compassion, sharing and helping others. One good turn deserves another.

Speaking of which, our parent helpers were all busy making friendship bracelets. These bracelets are a way of saying thanks to those who donated to the Wooroloo Bush Fire appeal (more on this to come in future posts...)

Last but not least, how can a Chinese New Year themed Scout activity end without a sumptuous tasting delight!
