Badges and uniform

Where to buy badges and uniforms

Full Scout uniform is required to be worn for youth meetings and ceremonies. This means Scout shirt with group scarf, dark blue pants, black socks and shoes (no sandals or thongs).

The colour of the Scout shirt depends on which section your child is joining. Your Group Leader will advise you on the appropriate colour to purchase.

The uniform must be purchased prior to the youth’s investiture ceremony. That’s when the new member takes the Scout promise and is fully invested into the Scouting community. The group scarf, woggle, World Scout badge, Australian flag badge, and the Buddha’s Light Scout group badge will then be presented to the new Scout to be sewn onto the uniform .

When buying a uniform, do not purchase any uniform badges, as these are provided at the appropriate time by our Scout Group.

Every Scout needs an Outdoor Progression Booklet and a Record Book relevant to the section. These are available for purchase from our group.

In addition, a group activity T-shirt will be required for outdoor activities. This can be purchased from us when needed.
